Urban experiment: where is better to buy products in Chisinau. Part 3

Complaining about prices became a habit for a long time: someone still blames the embargo, while others - the supermarkets owners. Anyway, the prices for the same goods in different stores can greatly vary.

Locals continues a series on where is better to buy products in Chisinau. This time we only walked in the flagship stores, a little updated our cart and added some seasonal items to the list, and most importantly - found out how profitable are discount cards and whether they are necessary at all.

DISCOUNT CARDS

 Discount cards system in Velmart and Unimarket shops is not working.

Nr.1 Discount cards can be obtained during opening of another network's store. The discount is valid for all the goods: from 50 to 100 lei - 1%, from 100 to 300 lei - 2%, from 300 to 500 lei - 3%, from 500 to 600 lei - 4%, 600 MDL above - 5% .

IMC card can be obtained, after making a purchase in the amount of 200 lei. And the IMC card - is a bonnus card, not a discount card.

Fidesco discount card can be obtained by purchasing in the amount of 150 lei. Discount - from 3 to 10% - on certain categories of products.

Fourchette discount cards are issued during certain promotional events. The discount, as well as in Fidesco network, applies to certain products.

Linella discount card is issued free of charge to all applicants. To obtain it, you need to fill out a questionnaire. Discounts are only available for products marked with a special indicator. Often these are discounts on eve of holidays.

Green Hills - Club Card can be received at any Green Hills Market, please contact the administrator. It is very simple to become a program member, it is necessary to fill in the application form and purchase a set of Club Card (at the price of 150 lei) in any network store. Discounts apply only to certain categories: dairy products (3-5%), cooking and baking (3-12%) and meat products (3-7%).
