“Tabasco Sauce” is trade name of hot sauces made from pulp of ripe fruits of cayenne pepper (Tabasco pepper), vinegar and salt. The sauce is aged for three years in barrels made of white oak limousine. It has a sour, spicy flavour and is popular around the world. Producer of the world-famous brand of sauces “Tabasco” is the American company “McIlhenny”. Production of red pepper sauce began in 1868.
