The history of the company dates back to 1912. At that time a confectioner named Alfred Ritter made a proposal of marriage to a girl, whose name was Clara Gottle. She agreed. As it turned out, this young couple was united not only by the strong mutual love, but also by the passion for sweets. Both of them were directly related to chocolate. Alfred worked as a pastry chef, and Clara was the owner of a small pastry shop.
